Jurisdictions working together will enhance resource sharing and information exchange to target and disrupt persistent criminals and criminal enterprises.

 

This approach is intended to target drug distribution networks, firearm crimes, stealing crimes, and related serious criminal activity beyond the investigative resources of individual agencies.

 

Each municipality has cross commissioned selected officers to assist the Crime Resolution Team. This also enable the municipalities to continue their investigations outside their cities alongside the Crime Resolution Team.

 

The Sheriff's Office has designated three full-time CRT members who target drug distribution networks, firearm crimes, stealing crimes, and related serious criminal activity to this initiative.

 

The ability to link officers from each agency with members of our CRT will allow information exchange and criminal activity information to flow quicker throughout Johnson County and make enforcement more effective.

 

 

Det. Jennifer Howser Investigator - Prosecutor's Office  Recovery Court Team Member

The Sheriff's Office has pared with the Johnson County Prosecutor's Office and assigned an investigator to the Office. This investigator provides essential functions by assisting the prosecuting attorney with preparing cases for court and conducting follow-up investigations for cases filed by the prosecutors. The investigator works closely with many people, including prosecutors and office support staff, local and state law enforcement agencies, witnesses and suspects.
