ARREST WARRANT

03/19/2021

On March 19, 2021, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and Warrensburg Police Department Joint Special Weapons and Tactics Team, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Independence Police Department, executed an arrest warrant in the 800 block of NW 131 Hwy, in rural Johnson County, Missouri. The arrest warrant was in reference to an investigation involving the location of Steven Coakley, age 45, of Oak Grove, a fugitive from justice.

 

Upon arrival, Mr. Coakley fled the residence on foot and into the wooded surroundings. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Helicopter observed Mr. Coakley fleeing the area and led law enforcement to his location, where he was lying down in a densely populated area of brush. Mr. Coakley was taken into custody without incident on his outstanding felony warrants.

 

Sheriff Munsterman states "This operation was a great collaborative effort between all law enforcement agencies involved. This type of cooperation provides a greater service to the citizens of Johnson County."
