On September 2nd, 2024, at approximately 10:07 AM, Johnson County deputies received a call that someone was offering to rent a home at 800 block SW 2 Highway, using Rock Island Reality's Information.

The RP stated that the person who contacted them does not own that property. After speaking with the RP, she said that she had copies of the suspect's driver's licenses from Indiana. Deputies responded to the address and contacted the RP, who wished to file charges against the subject after giving them $700 through PayPal Friends and Family. A statement was gathered from the RP for further investigation.
